SA News Canberra: The Saudi Arabia Embassy in Australia took part in the annual National Multicultural Festival, held in the Australian national capital, Canberra, from 6 to 8 February 2026.

The Saudi pavilion at the festival attracted many visitors and offered festival-goers an insight into the Kingdom’s historical and cultural identity, featuring curated photographic displays and documentary highlighting archaeological and heritage landmarks from across Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Australia, H.E Sultan Fahad bin Khuzaim, said the exhibition reflected the depth and richness of the Kingdom’s cultural and heritage identity, aiming to introduce audiences to Saudi Arabia’s history and long-standing cultural traditions.

The pavilion included a dedicated section on Saudi calligraphy and showcased scale models and visual displays highlighting the heritage of AlUla and Diriyah, alongside Saudi architectural concepts that blend traditional influences with contemporary design, reflecting the continuity of Saudi heritage through a modern lens.

Visitors to the Saudi pavilion were also welcomed with traditional Saudi hospitality, including the distribution of Saudi dates and Arabic coffee, offering an authentic cultural experience and enhancing engagement with the display.

The National Multicultural Festival, held annually in the heart of the national capital, brings together participants from more than 120 countries and is regarded as one of Australia’s largest celebrations of cultural diversity.
